@givethemhell: Because i am trying to deliver a different idea of Hawai'i far from the touristic cliche' of "exotic" place. There are already plenty of professionals working on that. On the other end this is the reality too.
BTW you may wanna know that Germans helped Hawaiians to move from an oral to a written culture; as a matter of fact the correct pronunciation of hawaiian word is that of german language.
